The Child Within

I often seek guidance from my oldest and dearest friend.  We often spend hours together playing, laughing, contemplating the mysteries of the universe, or sometimes, we just sit in silence enjoying each others company.

My friend is still a kid in many way, he sees the world through child like eyes–-the eyes of a dreamer they say.  The difficulties of life have not hardened his child like out look on life.  And, his kind heart allows him to see nothing but the good in this world.  He has no time for worry, no time for regrets, and no time to wallow in his sorrows.  No, he’s too busy for that.  He’s always rushing around exploring, playing, laughing, dreaming, and living life to its fullest.

He truly is a dreamer.

I envy his energy and spirit, and this is why I call upon him now and again to remind me not to take life so serious.  He nudges me with a wink and smile, as he finds ways to bring back the magic that is sometimes lost in my life.  He is the truest of friends, for he can be nothing but.  He is the child within my soul.

Have a wonderful day my friends, may you always find time to spend with your inner child on the playground of life.

Wow Terry ~ I just recorded a hypnaural journey on this very subject. There is nothing like remembering the “exploring, playing, laughing, dreaming, and living life to its fullest child” within each and everyone of us. You warm my heart!

Another fine inspirational piece – and pitched at the right length too. It reminds me of a wonderful children’ song that goes, somewhat paraphrased, “There’s a place I love to go, for my vacation, it’s always wonderful, it’s my imagination.”

Of course, you are talking about something spiritual, and mature – and it comes off well.

    cheers

You should see that immense smile on my face right now! 🙂

This piece is so beautiful, so pure and so true.

I have found that as we grow older, our responsibilities and chores grow along with us, creating overwhelming piles!

We get locked up in our own world, running from one errand to another that often times we forget to smile, relax those shoulders and just laugh at the craziness of life! Especially that you are not alone in this craziness 🙂

Here’s a quote that AHA-ed me the other day:

“A child can always teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires.”

Deel, that is such a great quote. We learn so much from children, it’s to bad that we forget that we once were children too. You are so right, we must learn to laugh at the craziness. Thanks for your thoughts Deel, you truly are very wise for you age.
